The protests failed the original goal, since the API prices didn’t change.
However, they still count as a win for me, as I believe that they damaged Reddit’s ability to generate value (long-term ability to operate and generate profit). This will make the company look far less profitable for people potentially buying shares in the IPO, and make the IPO far less profitable for the current shareholders.

I’ve moved on. Regardless of what Reddit does, I’m tired of being bombarded with ads and being the product. Reddit was the only ‘social media’ I ever used and it’s clear even it has become a mistake. Corporations cannot be trusted to be responsible stewards of anything.
