Source - Episode 1
This show nailed the “post-apocalypse with a deeper mystery” feel. The animation was gorgeous throughout and there are some reveals as the season goes that got me super hooked. I ended up diving into the manga to see what happens next. To top it all off, the show had a killer OP.
Unfortunately, there is not yet an announcement for a season 2, but that isn’t a no, right? I need to keep the hope alive.
This is my favourite anime of all time! There are several layers to the story that can only be understood after watching the anime again and it’s beautiful.
I really loved this show but I do need to add a content warning for incest themes (siblings) and rape (mostly separately). It’s a fantastic show, but it can sometimes be hard to get through.
Great, exceptional anime!
I’m hoping they’re just waiting for more source material for season 2. Season 1 covers vol 1-6. Vol 11 was just released a few weeks ago so there’s probably not quite enough for another season yet.
It’s one of my favorites and very unique compared to a lot of the slop we get these days. I really hope there’s another season.
We were so spoiled the particular season this aired. I remember this and Oshi No Ko were airing at the same time. I agree that the reason there’s no season 2 announcement is because they lack the material. Season 1, by all accounts, did great.
I’m also convinced we’re watching two distinct timelines, so looking forward to that shocking reveal.
I’m glad this anime is getting the appretiation it deserves. This anime was a rare occasion of me immediately going to check the manga after watching it, because i so wanted to see more. Before, this happened to me only with Dungeon Meshi.
I hope there will be season 2 when there will be enough source material.
Oh right, I still need to watch this. Thanks for reminding me why. That animation is slick
That show was awesome, really hoping we’re going to get a season 2 at some point.

This looks sick!
Nice foreshadowing in this clip.
Yes! It’s the kind of thing that you could only notice on a rewatch.
