Maybes I missed the rule that says “Redditors that try to be helpful will be banned”.
Spam and scammers are their bread and butter now.
They’re doing you a favor. Get banned from the entire site and enjoy the freedom.
Why waste your time there?
“We dont go to Redditholm anymore…”
Forget about it Jake, it’s reddit-town.
Good time to promote [email protected]
I cross-posted this to there. Hope that’s OK.
Edit: I misread the posted image, OP is suggesting rules to filter new accounts, not with a new account themselves.
A brand new account getting banned tells us almost nothing about whether the ban was warranted. Brand new accounts talking about automod are either evading a ban or have history on their main account they don’t want the mods to see. These might be horrible power-abusing mods, but even if there wasn’t a larger history not seen here, banning a brand new account just because the vibes seem off is a-ok in my book.OP didn’t get banned for having a new account

Nothing said why he got banned, but he got banned with a brand new account. The new account isn’t the ban reason itself, but it’s the reason the mods would be on a hair trigger for just the whiff of a problem. My account is 15 years old.
Ah, I misread the quoted image. I will edit my earlier replies to let people know my assumption was incorrect.
If it makes you feel any better, that’s how I read the post too until you were corrected. I also missed the beginning sentence. Oops.
No worries.
Alright feels like we got another wave coming?
Is reddit cracking down again?
Just mods on a sub being stupid.
What is that subreddit for exactly?
A place to pick up jobs for cheap. I’m a programmer so little fixes here and there for beer money. Sometimes leads to bigger things. I’ve even worked for one of the mods there too, funnily enough. There’s been a huge wave of utter gak recently so I thought I’d suggest a fix. Got banned… F**k em!
Their loss! Start a Lemmy community, or “Moonie”, as I like to call it ever since I randomly made that term up yesterday
Feel free to promote it on [email protected]
Oh nice. I sure will. Thanks.
How new do they have to be?
Their loss, our gain.
Welcome to The Good Place, you won’t look back.
But is it really the Good Place?
Well there’s the dilemma. We all thought Reddit was The Good Place until we realised it was actually The Bad Place. With Lemmy it may depend on your instance.

That’s because reddit is a scammer, by the way. That’s why get banned. 🤣
Yeah, Reddit mods suck
