OP unfortunately the original pic you posted for this topic got corrupted at some point. Do you happen to still have the pic that you could re-upload?

    amazing.

    1. some alternative community using the name ‘superstonk’ is operated by a user with ‘mein kampf’ in their username.
    2. in conclusion, we will not tolerate the mention of any alternative communities at all.

this is hilarious and completely unsurprising.

the good thing is that it doesn’t even matter. the community isn’t stupid, most people will be able to see right through this behavior as unjustifiably heavy handed

enough people are already aware about alternative communities that the growth of such alternatives, such as this lemmy instance, will continue to happen naturally.

That’s begs a question about this server. Does it make sense to have something like an “AcrossTheApeiverse” community here specifically for crossposting ape content from other platforms/servers?

It would represent the exact opposite of gatekeeping and maybe help this Lemmy server become the go-to home for apes.

On Reddit I avoided getting wrapped up in single sub drama by creating a custom GME multithread with all the GME content I could find. It made it a lot easier to spot the bad apples. Is a similar feature available on Lemmy?

Honestly I would love some sort of GME aggregator website.

I don’t think you can yet set up custom feeds as far as I know, but you can create a dedicated user account just for GME communities, and then that user account’s “subscribed” feed would effectively be that. Not ideal, but kinda words
