As a Onedrive user, this is a big deal to me. If this feature ended up implemented in Nautilus 46, I will no longer need to rely on web app to access Onedrive
You can use rclone. It “mounts” the cloud storage to a folder.
Btw. It does support more providers than just OneDrive.
From memory isn’t it paid software?
From the link, it looks like open source.
You can get it from apt. Definitely open source software.
Huh, I remember trying a year or two to get my Google drive setup and there was only paid options out there.
rclone is definitely open-source. I just used it to set up sync for my KeePass DB, since the KDE-integrated GDrive doesn’t work with KeePassXC. It takes a bit to set up (mostly because the Google Cloud console is fucking awful and takes seconds to register any interaction), but works nicely afterwards.
Not something I ever plan to use, but some people will expect it.
I can imagine it’ll be particularly useful in workplaces or universities that use OneDrive.
Hooray?
No thanks
Alright, don’t use it then. So long as they don’t advertise it in a huge banner every 2 hours (like a certain other operating system proudly does), you’ll never have to see it.
