22·3 years agoI think you are mixing two things up. Some 4k remasters have incredibly distracting film grain. Blade Runner comes to mind. It’s a matter of personal taste and how accurate you want the film to reflect the film source.
The more compressed the file is, the les accurate it is, and film grain is the first thing to get crushed by compression algorithms

Same. I will switch back to jerboa once .world updates to v18 but for now wefwef is a good alternative.
When reader was killed off it marked the beginning of clickbait articles and shitty news blogpost.
Before I could simply subscribe to my favorite website RSS feeds. After we had to rely on goddamn algorithms

Lemmy has grown exponentially in the past month, it’s frankly amazing how well it’s able to sustain the massive influx of new users, but yeah, some features like this one are dearly missed
