China has no social credit score like the western media have you believe. The US has indeed a social credit score, designed to keep the majority of the population poor.

Besides drug approval, which is not a measurement in itself, I can attest to this. A large German pharma, has increased their head count from 7 to 40 within a year. They bought a local pharma for 1 billion US dollar and at the same time closed a US facility. The same goes for many other pharmas. You can say what you want about China, but they are investing heavily in science. Because they believe in science. Unlike the current regime of the US.

The US regime hates everything electric, solar, or wind driven energy. They are going strong on oil and coal. Remember Trumpski made beautiful coal part of the tariff negotiation with Europe? Soon steam powered cars are back. Meanwhile China invested over 1 billion dollars in renewable energy just in 2025.
Audi is even building specific EV’s for China that are not available overseas.

China is not invading Taiwan. I wish people would stop regurgitating this BS and actually see what is happening politically within China. Because the US is just recklessly invading other countries - 2 this year alone - you don’t need to project this on China.

There is no comparison at any level

The one guy driving a Xiaomi SU7, is the CEO of Ford. And he’s refusing to give it up. Read the interview he gave after he visited China. https://insideevs.com/news/764318/ford-ceo-china-evs-humbled/

Not missed it. Not reported on because of fear of reprisals and majority of the media is right winged so it doesn’t suit their narrative. The media in the US is completely controlled now. Freedom of the press is now a feverdream.

Geely is a brand on its own too and produce their own vehicles. Geely also is a major share holder and partner of Mercedes Benz, like the Smart in China and are looking at strengthing their relationship in regards to EV.

It’s amazing again how limited the US is with choices. In the rest of the world including soon Canada, there is a much greater choice of EV’s. Take Australia for example: besides Tesla there is BYD, Seekr, Geely, MG, KIA, Polestar, Cherry, Hyundai, Skoda and WV. But because of the unsubstantiated hatred of anything Chinese, the US has only a couple of choices. Funnily enough, the CEO of Ford drives a Xiaomi SU7 and does not want to hand it in. Look up his interview after he visited China. The same applies to mobile phones. There are amazing phone brands in the rest of the world but again the US is limited. Land of the free but as long at it is beneficial to the US corporations. Competition is frowned upon.
BioNTech is definitely not defunded in China. Besides BioNTech, there are more local pharmas working on mRNA. BioNTech have a license / working agreement with BMS worth 2 billion dollars mainly for a mRNA cancer vaccine. Mostly handled in China - again. Because in the US as a scientist you’ll be defunded if you use the word mRNA in your documentation.
It is generally fucking nuts to block what could be one of the major cancer treatments of the near future.
