I’ve seen a post about this kinda situation before that claimed the plug in that case had been falsely advertised as 100% silicone

Yeah I figured I was just unlucky (I might’ve fucked something up by messing around too much)
Can’t speak to Xbox Series controllers, but Xbox One controllers on Linux are a mess in terms of the drivers situation. Running 'em over USB with xpad, the default kernel driver is fine, but you might need to install xone or xow to get them working wirelessly with the dongle, or xpadneo for Bluetooth. Maybe other people have had a better time but it’s a total fucking headache IME.
Honestly I’m a huge fan of Sony’s Dualsense controller. It’s got a whole bunch of features that are sometimes lacking in other gamepads. A trackpad, gyro, audio in/out, analogue triggers with force feedback. Unfortunately, as far as I know, it only connects via Bluetooth or USB.
I’m not sure what exactly Microsoft’s game is here. Like yeah, they’re tapping into a market segment they’re not currently participating in, with the additional benefit of giving Xbox gamers access to their existing libraries, I get that, but then what?
Like, assuming that these are still gonna be fully functional PCs that people can install third party storefronts on, doesn’t this just run the risk of losing existing customers to other software vendors? I can already see the people coming from Xbox onto a Microsoft handheld and then getting hooked by a Steam Sale or EGS freebie, spending less money in MS’s ecosystem over time.
Maybe they’re hoping that the same effect could happen in reverse, but tbh I’m not sure how many Steam/Epic/GOG/Itch/whatever gamers would start building a library in the Xbox storefront. I’d wager it’s a lesser number than those they’ll lose with this sort of device.
Testicles Georg is an outlier adn should not have been counted
Thanks! Can I get one with the lot, please?
Jesus Christ yeah that’s a lot worse than whatever OP is whining about
You don’t get to complain about other people trolling when you are being this deliberately obtuse.
Gravity is in the most literal sense a force of nature. It has had measurable effects since pretty much the dawn of time. Gender is a social construct. The only effects it has on the world around us is that which we as a society allow it to, and in the absence of any people who believe in such a concept it would cease to exist in any meaningful sense.
Nobody is sincerely claiming that dragons, as in the mythological creatures, actually exist in material reality. By adopting dragonfucker/rider as a gender identity, drag is aligning with the concept of them in some kinda nebulous social sense I’m not gonna pretend to understand.
Maybe drag’s trolling about it, but to be honest, I really couldn’t give a shit about the specifics of Dragon Rider’s identity one way or the other because I think drag’s an insufferable shit-stirrer. What really pisses me off here though is that you’ve actually made me care about this because in spending all day bitching about how drag’s a shit-stirring troll, you have engaged in precisely the behaviour that can make drag such a… drag.
Literally all genders are made up, why are you getting so bent outta shape over a totally reasonable rule just because one person who stands to benefit from it is kinda annoying???
Yea it’s 16:10
And that’s why I prefer Phoenix Point’s targeting system
The system would intermittently just hard crash. I suspect it was a GPU driver issue (the Radeon RX 5700XT had notoriously unreliable Windows drivers for a while).
We’re on lemmy, none of us are having kids anyway.
I think it’s really funny when people say this because this is exactly what made me stop using Windows.
Yeah fair enough
Bruh why do you think the Steam Deck is called that in the first place?
Yeah, it does kinda have that urban myth kinda quality to it
