Finally, the obvious thing to do though unfortunately any bit of faith in a working anti corruption system is already destroyed. Hopefully this will help fix that but not too hopeful for any transparency and worthwhile outcomes.

Absolutely. It’s not going to do much on its own but hopefully the first of multiple policies to push thinigs in the right direction.
The longer it takes to take serious action the more its gonna screw people when prices drop
Certainly true and always a difficult topic when it comes to bringing down house prices. It’s what those of us who don’t already own a home need but it’s political suicide to actually attempt to achieve. Home owners are still the majority of voters and also more influencial (and more likely to be donors).
I suppose the other strategy that they may be going for here is keeping price increases below inflation this is still probably not enough to do even that. Can only hope there is more to come.
Would hope for that too but not expecting much unfortunately. With everything that’s happened recently I wouldn’t be surprised if the findings don’t change LNP voters minds though I wouldn’t expect the anything to come out of this before the election rolls around.
I would at the very least want to see everyone responsible punished but given there’s only six and that everything will be done behind closed doors, I doubt anything just will come of it, especially to the politicians involved who will probably not even be investigated.
