2·5 months agoAs a fan of the 1995 Ghost in the Shell I didn’t like my first viewing of this remake but have since realised it was because of my own expectations. Now I watch it as a different film and enjoy it a lot more.

3·6 months agoUsing the web before search engines were really a thing was way more wholesome, following interesting links and stumbling upon wonderful sites (and awful ones too of course). It was based on trust in which site was pointing you where.
Then along came Google and others who supplanted those trusted links and now they are reaping the whirlwind. I’m hoping we go back to curating our own strange collections of web gems.

If he got 87 he can still feel “superior” to about 15% of people, though good luck figuring out who those are.
Adding and removing parenthetical clauses from my email until they all suddenly resolve, collapsing to nothing and I am left with an empty email. “Brilliant!” I think, and close Outlook, having solved my own problem.
