Saved you a trip to vice

According to research published in the Raffles Bulletin of Zoology, scientists from Tohoku University and the National University of Singapore have identified an entirely new species of box jellyfish floating like a carelessly discarded plastic grocery bag in the waters around Singapore.

To add to this, it’s Sentosa Island in Singapore. It was renamed in the 70’s, presumably because “death island” was putting off tourists.

It’s just another species of jellyfish. I was hoping for something crazy interesting like a tropical leopard seal or a manatee with tentacles.
